Unlike many international clinics where a booking agency or non-medical coordinator handles the case before a surgeon becomes involved, every clinical decision here is made directly by Dr. Arslan — from the first photograph to the final follow-up call. A dedicated coordination team manages the logistics: flights are your own booking, but hotel dates, transfers and clinic scheduling are arranged for you. The medical decisions — technique, hairline design, and the surgical plan itself — pass through no one but the surgeon.

Before You Travel — What to Prepare

Preparation in the two weeks before surgery affects both how the surgery day goes and how well the grafts take. The short version:

Your hairline shape and donor strategy are not decided on the morning of surgery — they are drafted from the photographs you send during the assessment stage, then confirmed and fine-tuned in person on arrival. Knowing this in advance changes what is actually worth preparing: clear, well-lit photographs of the front, top, sides and donor area matter more than any product or supplement on this list.

• Blood-thinning supplements: stop fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo and aspirin (unless prescribed for cardiac reasons) at least 2 weeks before surgery.
• Smoking: stop at least 2 weeks before — nicotine reduces blood flow to the scalp and can affect graft survival.
• Alcohol: avoid entirely for the 7 days before surgery — it thins the blood and interacts with the anaesthetic.
• Hair and scalp: leave the donor and recipient areas untrimmed, and skip minoxidil and styling products in the week before you arrive.
• What to pack: a button-front or zip top for surgery day — nothing that has to be pulled on over your head afterwards.

What Happens After You Return Home

Most patients fly home 2–3 days after surgery, while the scalp is still healing. The scabs around the recipient area typically resolve within 10–14 days. Between weeks 2 and 6, the newly transplanted hairs shed — this is the normal shedding phase, not a sign that the procedure has failed.

New growth begins at months 3–4. By month 6, roughly 40–60% of the final result is typically visible; by month 10, most patients have reached 70–80%.
