Mesotherapy Hair Treatment
Scalp Microinjection Istanbul.
Mesotherapy delivers a customised cocktail of vitamins, minerals and growth factors directly into the scalp via microinjections — bypassing the oral absorption barrier and delivering active ingredients exactly where follicles need them.
Delivering Nutrients
Directly to Your Follicles
Unlike oral supplements that must survive digestion and blood filtration, mesotherapy injections deliver biotin, vitamins B and C, zinc, amino acids and growth factors directly into the mesoderm — the layer 1–4mm beneath the scalp surface where hair follicles live.
- Vitamins B-complex, C, E and biotin microinjected
- Zinc, amino acids and hair growth peptides included
- Improves scalp microcirculation and follicle oxygenation
- Reduces inflammatory scalp conditions that trigger loss
- Complements PRP for maximum non-surgical effect
- Sessions 30–45 minutes, zero downtime
Both are microinjection-based treatments. PRP uses your concentrated blood growth factors. Mesotherapy uses a pharmaceutical cocktail of specific vitamins and peptides. They are often combined for maximum effect.
- Mesotherapy: precise vitamin and mineral delivery
- PRP: concentrated autologous growth factors
- Combined protocol: most comprehensive non-surgical approach
Who Is a Good Candidate
for Mesotherapy?
- Early diffuse thinning where follicles are still present, not yet a fully bald area
- Patients already on Finasteride or Minoxidil who want to support the same follicles with direct nutrient delivery
- Patients preparing for a transplant who want to improve scalp condition and graft-bed quality beforehand
- Post-transplant patients in the weeks after surgery, to support healing during recovery
- Anyone able to commit to the initial 6–10 session protocol — mesotherapy works cumulatively, not after a single visit
- Established pattern baldness with a fully bald, shiny scalp — the follicles are gone, so there is nothing left to nourish; a transplant is the only way to restore coverage there
- Shedding with an undiagnosed medical cause — find and treat the cause first; mesotherapy on top of an unresolved trigger will not hold
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or anyone with an active scalp infection or skin condition at the injection site
- Patients on blood-thinning medication — physician clearance is needed first, since the fine needles can cause more visible bruising
- Anyone expecting a few sessions to replace a transplant where the goal is filling a bald area
What Happens
Before, During and After
- Scalp assessed and the vitamin, mineral and peptide mix adjusted to your diagnosis — diffuse thinning is treated differently to an early receding hairline
- Scalp cleansed and a topical anaesthetic cream applied, left to take effect before any injections begin
- Microinjections placed 1–4mm deep across the treatment area, spaced to cover thinning zones evenly rather than concentrated in one spot
- Fine-gauge needles keep each injection point almost imperceptible — most patients describe pressure rather than pain
- Whole session takes 30–45 minutes; no sedation is used and you stay fully alert throughout
- No special downtime — most patients return straight to work or sightseeing the same day
- Mild redness, tenderness or minor swelling at the injection points settles within 24–48 hours, similar to a standard vitamin injection
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, swimming pools and direct sun on the treated area for the rest of the day, so the injection sites can settle undisturbed
- Hair can usually be washed the following day; harsh styling products are best skipped until any redness has faded
- Bruising is more visible in patients on blood-thinning medication — this is flagged during the medical history review before your first session

What mesotherapy will not do
Mesotherapy is a delivery method, not a cure for androgenetic hair loss. It does not act on the hormonal cause of pattern baldness, it does not bring back follicles that are already gone, and it does not replace surgery where coverage is the goal. It supports a plan; it is not one on its own.

Results also depend on completing the course. A single session will not produce a visible change — the initial protocol runs weekly for the first 4–6 weeks, then tapers to monthly, so that vitamin, mineral and peptide levels build up in the follicle cumulatively rather than in one dose. Stopping after two or three sessions, or skipping the monthly maintenance visits once improvement starts around month 2–3, gives up most of what the full course was building toward.
It is also not a single defined treatment. Because "mesotherapy" describes the injection technique rather than a fixed formulation, what is in the syringe differs between clinics — which is why claims made about it vary so widely, and why comparing prices between clinics compares different things.
Used honestly it has a place: supporting the scalp alongside medical treatment, or during recovery after surgery. Sold as a way to avoid a transplant, it is the more expensive mistake.
Where it is worth considering
| Situation | Realistic role |
|---|---|
| Early diffuse thinning, follicles still present | Supportive, alongside medical treatment |
| After a transplant | Sometimes used during the recovery phase |
| Established pattern baldness, bare scalp | No role — the follicles are gone |
| Shedding from a medical cause | Find the cause first; treating it may be all that is needed |
| Instead of medication | Not a substitute — a different mechanism |
