PRP Hair Treatment
Platelet-Rich Plasma Istanbul.
PRP harnesses the regenerative power of your own blood. A small sample is centrifuged to concentrate growth factors, then injected into the scalp to stimulate dormant follicles and accelerate healing — with zero foreign substances.
Your Own Blood —
Concentrated Growth Factors
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy concentrates the growth factors naturally present in your blood to 5–8x their normal level, then delivers them precisely where your hair follicles need them most.
- Blood drawn (15–20ml) and centrifuged to concentrate platelets
- Growth factors reach 5–8x normal blood concentration
- Microinjections across the thinning scalp area
- Stimulates follicle activity and extends the anagen growth phase
- No synthetic chemicals — uses only your own biological material
- Session takes 45–60 minutes with zero downtime
- Early-stage thinning (Norwood I–III)
- Post-transplant graft survival support
- Female diffuse thinning (Ludwig I–II)
- Combined with Minoxidil for enhanced effect
- Maintaining transplant results long-term
Who Is a Good Candidate
for PRP?
- Norwood I–III thinning where follicles are still present and only miniaturised — not yet fully bald
- Female diffuse thinning, Ludwig I–II
- Recently transplanted patients in the first 1–2 weeks after surgery, to support graft survival
- Patients already on Finasteride or Minoxidil who want a complementary boost to the same follicles
- Patients who transplanted some years ago and want to maintain density without further surgery
- Norwood V–VII or Ludwig III with a fully bald, shiny scalp — the follicles are gone, so there is nothing left for PRP to stimulate; a transplant is the only way to restore coverage there
- Anyone expecting a few sessions to replace a transplant where filling a bald area is the actual goal
- Patients with blood disorders, a low platelet count or on blood-thinning medication — a physician review is required first
- Anyone with an active scalp infection or skin condition at the injection site — treatment should wait until it clears
- Anyone unwilling to commit to the initial course of 3–6 sessions — a single session will not produce a lasting result

What PRP will not do
PRP stimulates follicles that are still alive, not ones that are gone. It does not block the DHT that drives androgenetic hair loss, it does not restore follicles that have already gone permanently dormant, and it does not replace a transplant where the goal is filling a fully bald area. It supports a plan; it is not a plan on its own.
Results also depend on commitment. A single session will not produce a visible change — the initial course of 3–6 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, is what allows the concentrated growth factors to extend the follicles' growth phase over time. Skipping sessions or stopping early reduces what PRP can achieve.

Used honestly, PRP has a clear place: slowing early thinning alongside Finasteride or Minoxidil, supporting graft survival in the weeks after a transplant, or maintaining density years after surgery. Marketed as a stand-alone alternative to a transplant once the hair is already gone, it is a treatment that cannot deliver on that promise.
