Where exosome therapy realistically fits
Exosome therapy is best understood today as an emerging adjunct treatment, not a proven standalone solution and certainly not a replacement for a hair transplant. It may have a role in supporting scalp health, potentially slowing early diffuse shedding, or complementing post-transplant recovery — but it cannot restore follicles that have already been permanently miniaturized or lost, because there is nothing left for it to stimulate.

When a hair transplant is still the only real option
If an area of the scalp has already lost its follicles entirely — the classic pattern of male or female genetic hair loss — no injectable treatment, including exosomes or PRP, can bring those follicles back. A transplant works by physically relocating living, DHT-resistant follicles from the donor area into the thinning zone, where they continue growing permanently. For genuinely bald or heavily thinned areas, this remains the only treatment with a predictable, visible outcome.
