Best shampoo after hair transplant: ingredients to use and avoid, the LOREW Paris protocol and when to return to normal shampoo. Hairmedico Istanbul 2026.
The LOREW Paris protocol at Hairmedico
Every Hairmedico patient receives the LOREW Paris post-transplant aftercare kit including a specialised post-operative shampoo: gentle enough not to disrupt graft anchoring, effective enough to prevent infection and crust buildup, pH-balanced to support the healing scalp environment. Used for Days 2–14 as the standard washing product.

Ingredients to avoid in the first 6 weeks
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS): Harsh surfactant in most standard shampoos. Causes scalp irritation compromising the healing environment in the first 2 weeks.
Zinc Pyrithione: Anti-dandruff shampoo active ingredient. Avoid for 4–6 weeks.
Salicylic Acid: Too aggressive for healing scalp. Avoid for 4 weeks.
When to return to normal shampoo
Day 15+: mild SLS-free shampoo. Week 6+: any mild standard shampoo. Month 3+: any shampoo including anti-dandruff or medicated as needed. The transplanted hair can be washed and treated like natural hair from month 3.

Common questions
How much does a hair transplant cost in Turkey?
Hairmedico all-inclusive: price on request for 2,000–3,500 grafts including surgery, 5-star hotel, transfers, PRP and 12-month follow-up.

Yes. Transplanted follicles are DHT-resistant and grow permanently for the patient's lifetime.

Desk work: 5–7 days. Scabs shed by Day 10–14. New growth from months 3–5. Final result months 12–14.
Who performs surgery at Hairmedico?
Dr. Arslan Musbeh personally performs every extraction and canal-opening. In VIP he also places every graft himself; in Silver and Gold, his trained team places the grafts under his direct supervision. One patient per day.
Is Turkey safe for hair transplant?
Yes, with an accredited surgeon-led clinic. Verify FUE Europe membership, Ministry of Health registration, and confirm the surgeon personally operates.
