The graft count myth
Cliniques often compete on graft counts — "we can do 5,000 grafts" — as a marketing differentiator. But a high graft count placed at incorrect angles, in wrong density zones, or extracted carelessly produces a worse result than a thoughtfully planned 2,500-graft procedure. Graft count is a starting input, not a measure of quality.

The science of density
Visual density depends on: (1) grafts per cm² in the recipient zone, (2) the angle of implantation relative to scalp surface (typically 20–45°), (3) the direction relative to natural hair flow, and (4) the distribution of single/double/multi-hair grafts across foreground/midzone/background. Single-hair grafts at the very front hairline create a natural gradient. Multi-hair grafts provide bulk behind. This distribution — not raw count — creates the natural look.
