Tous les articles →The most persistent misconception in hair transplant marketing: more grafts equals better results. Cliniques offer "5,000 grafts for €1,200" as if the number is the value proposition. Patients compare offers by graft count as if counting screen pixels. This logic fails because: a transected graft produces zero growth regardless of claimed numbers; density without correct distribution produces patchy results; maximum sessions deplete donor supply for future needs; and naturalness has nothing to do with total graft count.

Graft survival rate: 2,000 surviving grafts from 2,200 extracted outperforms 3,000 claimed grafts with 60% survival (1,800 viable).
Distribution strategy: Strategic distribution across hairline, mid-scalp and crown produces a coherent, natural result. Concentrating all grafts in one zone leaves others bare.
Density gradient: Natural hairlines need 35–45 grafts/cm² at the front transitioning to 25–30 grafts/cm² through mid-scalp. The gradient matters far more than total count.
Hairline design: A brilliantly designed 1,500-graft hairline looks better than a poorly designed 3,000-graft result — this is not theory, it is the consistent finding of corrective surgery consultations.
Dr. Arslan's Algorithmic FUE™ approach starts with "what density is needed, where, and what does the donor zone need to look like in 20 years?" — not "how many grafts can be extracted?" The algorithm handles donor mapping, distribution sequencing and lifetime planning. The artistic judgement handles hairline design and execution. Graft count is an output of this process, not an input.

A graft is a follicular unit — a natural grouping of 1–4 hair follicles as they occur in the scalp. Each graft is extracted individually in FUE. 2,000 grafts typically yields 4,000–6,000 individual hairs depending on your average follicular unit hair count.
Graft requirements depend on Norwood stage, scalp size, hair calibre, and target density. Norwood III: 1,500–2,500. Norwood IV: 2,500–3,500. Norwood V: 3,000–4,500. Dr. Arslan calculates a precise number from trichoscopy assessment — free with 3 photographs via WhatsApp.
90%+ is good; 95%+ is excellent. At Hairmedico, Dr. Arslan achieves 95%+ documented graft survival. Budget technician-run clinics average 60–75%. The difference in a 3,000-graft session: over 800 fewer viable follicles.
Yes. Over-extraction depletes the donor zone permanently and cannot be corrected. Safe single-session limits are 3,000–4,500 grafts for most patients. Dr. Arslan's Algorithmic FUE approach plans within lifetime donor budgets, never over-extracts.
