Dr. Arslan Musbeh — Afro & Textured Hair Expert
Dr. Arslan Musbeh has treated patients with Afro-textured, Type 3C–4C and tightly coiled hair from West Africa, Central Africa, the UK, France and the Caribbean. His adapted FUE technique accounts for the C-shaped follicle curvature unique to Afro hair — minimising transection rates that conventional punches cannot avoid. As a FUE Europe Full Member with 17+ years and 3,000+ personal cases, Dr. Arslan is one of the few Istanbul surgeons with documented expertise specifically in Afro-textured hair restoration.

Does transplanted Afro hair maintain its curl?

Yes — and this is one of the most frequently asked questions by Afro hair transplant candidates. Greffeed hair maintains the characteristics of its donor follicle. If the donor hair at the back of the scalp is tightly coiled 4C hair, the transplanted grafts will grow as tightly coiled 4C hair in the recipient zone.

The transplanted hair is not straight. It is not wavy. It will grow as the same texture as the hair it was taken from — which, for Afro-textured patients, means the natural coil and curl pattern is preserved in the restored hairline and crown.

Vraisistic density expectations

Due to the natural volume of coiled Afro hair, a well-executed 1,500–2,000 graft Afro hair transplant produces visual density equivalent to 2,500–3,000 grafts of fine straight hair. This is the primary advantage of Afro hair restoration — the natural coil provides coverage that straight hair cannot replicate at equivalent graft counts.

What this means practically: a patient with moderate traction alopecia at the hairline and temples typically requires 800–1,500 grafts to achieve an excellent natural-looking result. A patient with androgenetic alopecia at Norwood IV requires 2,500–3,500 grafts for meaningful full-top coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a hair transplant cost in Turquie?

Hairmedico all-inclusive: price on request — tailored to graft count, technique and package.

Is hair transplant permanent?

Yes. Greffeed follicles are DHT-resistant and grow permanently for the patient's lifetime.

What is the recovery time?

Desk work: 5–7 days. Scabs shed by Day 10–14. Nouveau growth from months 3–5. Final result months 12–14.

Who performs surgery at Hairmedico?

Dr. Arslan Musbeh personally performs every extraction and canal-opening. In VIP he also places every graft himself; in Silver and Gold, his trained team places the grafts under his direct supervision. One patient per day.

Is Turquie safe for hair transplant?

Yes, with an accredited surgeon-led clinic. Verify FUE Europe membership, Ministry of Health registration, and confirm the surgeon personally operates.
