Alle Artikel →Post-transplant shedding (shock loss) occurs because surgical trauma forces transplanted follicles into telogen — the resting phase of the hair growth cycle. In telogen, the follicle stops producing new shaft growth and the existing shaft is shed. This is the same mechanism as stress-related telogen effluvium that many people experience after illness, surgery or significant stress. The difference with post-transplant shock loss: it is predictable, universal and temporary.
The shedding is of the hair shaft only — the follicle remains alive and intact beneath the surface. After the telogen phase, the follicle re-enters anagen and produces permanent new growth.

Transplanted hair shedding: Universal — essentially all transplanted hairs shed within 2–6 weeks of surgery. Expected, normal, and not a cause for concern. Growth resumes from the same follicle at months 3–5.
Native hair shedding: Occurs in some patients — native hairs near the recipient zone shed temporarily due to disrupted blood supply and the inflammatory response. Resolves within 3–6 months with complete recovery. More likely when native hair is already miniaturised by DHT. More common than most patients expect; rarely as alarming as it initially appears.
Do: Follow the washing and aftercare protocol. Take monthly photographs. Continue Finasteride if prescribed. Contact the clinic if genuinely concerned.
Don't: Stop Finasteride — shedding phase is when native hair is most vulnerable. Scratch or aggressively massage the scalp. Interpret universal, expected shedding as surgical failure. Assess progress before month 5–6.

Yes. AI is used for trichoscopy donor density mapping, graft count estimation from photographs, and digital hairline design simulation. At Hairmedico, AI-assisted trichoscopy is part of the Algorithmic FUE planning process. Robotic extraction is not used — Dr. Arslan's manual FUE achieves lower transection rates across all hair types.
AI simulation tools can show proposed hairline positions on photographs, but cannot predict actual graft survival (depends on surgeon quality), actual density (depends on hair calibre), or how the result interacts with future native hair loss. They are design communication aids, not result guarantees.
Not in the foreseeable future. AI adds value in data analysis (density mapping, graft counting) but cannot replace the aesthetic judgment required for natural hairline design, the technical adaptation required for diverse hair types, or the long-term clinical planning that accounts for individual hair loss trajectories.
Hairmedico all-inclusive: price on request — tailored to graft count, technique and package.
Yes. Transplanted follicles are DHT-resistant and grow permanently for the patient's lifetime.
Desk work: 5–7 days. Scabs shed by Day 10–14. New growth from months 3–5. Final result months 12–14.
Dr. Arslan Musbeh personally performs every extraction and canal-opening. In VIP he also places every graft himself; in Silver and Gold, his trained team places the grafts under his direct supervision. One patient per day.
