Clinical definition
Over-harvesting is defined not by a specific number but by biological tolerance. Poorly distributed extractions concentrated in one area cause over-harvesting even with moderate graft counts. The threshold varies by patient hair type and donor density.

Why clinics cause it
- Commercial pressure to maximise graft counts
- No calculation of lifetime donor capacity
- Concentrating extractions rather than distributing evenly
- Technician-performed extraction without surgeon oversight
What affected patients can do
Mild-moderate: PRP therapy improves density of remaining follicles. Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) cosmetically disguises the donor zone. For severe cases, body hair transplant (beard or chest follicles) provides limited additional donor supply. Reversal of removed follicles is not possible with current technology.

Prevention at Hairmedico
Every patient receives documented lifetime donor capacity before any procedure. Algorithmic FUE distributes extractions across anticipated future sessions. Hair Transplant Turkey | Dr. Arslan Musbeh | Pricing
