1. Graft count — The largest single driver. A 3,000-graft session requires significantly more surgical time, consumables and technical precision than a 1,500-graft session. Graft count is determined by Norwood stage, scalp size and target density — assessed at trichoscopy consultation.
2. Technique — FUE and DHI are priced identically per graft count at Hairmedico. At other clinics, DHI sometimes carries a premium for instrument cost and longer procedure time.
3. Surgeon involvement — Surgeon-led procedures are more expensive than technician-run procedures. This price differential is the most important quality signal in the market.
4. Package inclusions — Hotel quality, PRP inclusion, follow-up programme and aftercare kit all affect the all-in price meaningfully.
5. Clinic positioning — Premium clinics operate at higher overhead and correspondingly higher price points, reflecting surgeon quality, facility standards and clinical governance model.
